Day 01:

Arrive at Leh. Arrive at Leh Airport. A representative will greet you upon arrival at Leh Airport, transferred to the hotel and Check – in into the hotel. Day for relax. In the Evening visit to Bazaar. Dinner and Overnight at Leh.

Day 02:

Leh – Local Sightseeing’s: After breakfast half day sightseeing of Sankar Gompa: Located on a valley floor and is the home to Lamas who belong to yellow sect and worship his Holiness - The Dalai Lama. Visit Shanti Stupa: a Buddhist religious monument built by Indian based Japanese Monk whose intention was to spread Buddhism by building such stupas throughout the world & Leh Palace: the 17th. Century looking for the entire world like a miniature version of the Potala in Hotel

Day 03:

Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La : After breakfast pack-up and rive to Nubra valley 142km from via Khardongla Pass 5600m which is the world highest memorable pass. On arrival in Nubra visit the white Sand Dunes near Hunder and Diskit Monastery. Overnight in Deluxe Camp at Hunder.

Day 04:

Nubra valley – Leh

Morning after breakfast, proceed to Leh via Diskit, visit the Monastery, reach Leh, transfer to Hotel, Leisure time at Leh or shopping etc at your own, dinner and overnight at Leh in Hotel.

Day 05:

In Leh - Pangong Lake - 4300 Mts: After early breakfast depart for Pangong Lake over the Chang-la (5475 Mts.) Arrive Pangong Lake, the highest lake in Ladakh and is flanked by massive peaks over 6500 Mts. High. The lake is 150 Kms. Long but is only 4 Kms. At its widest and extends almost in a straight line, way into Tibet, in fact only a quarter of the lake is in India and rest in China. Evening back to Leh Meals and over night at Leh

Day 06:

PANGONG LAKE TO LEH (140 KMS / 5 HRS) After early Breakfast drive back to leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa, Thiksey & Shay Palace Lake enroute visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh &3 Idiots Rancho School& further 5 Kms Driving through a picturesque landscape we reach Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. After visiting above two monasteries we drive further towards Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through Sakti Village. The largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Drive further to Leh and check in at our hotel for Overnight.

Day 07

Monastery tour and sightseeing Morning after breakfast drive to Hemis monastery. The Hemis monastery located 40 Kms from Leh is the wealthiest, best known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh. Its popularity stems from the major annual festival held here in summer in honor of Guru Padma Sambhava’s birth anniversary. Within the monastery there are to be seen a copper-gilt statue of the Lord Buddha, various stupas made of gold and silver, sacred thangkas and many objects. The monastery, said to exist even before the 11th century, was re-established by the 1st incarnation of Stagsang Raspa Nawang Gyatso in 1630. Belonging to the Drukpa sect, this Tibetan monastery has a very colourful and attractive architecture. Afterwards drive to Thiksey Monastery for a visit. The Thiksey Monastery is situated at a distance of approximately 18 km from the town of Leh. One of the most beautiful monasteries of Ladakh, it belongs to the Gelukpa Order of Buddhism. Sherab Zangpo of Stod got the Thiksey Monastery built for the first time, at Stakmo. However, later Spon Paldan Sherab, the nephew of Sherab Zangpo, reconstructed the monastery in the year 1430 AD. The new monastery was situated on a hilltop, to the north of Indus River. It has a 15 meter high statue of the Maitreya Buddha, the largest such statue in Ladakh. After these visits return to Leh via Sindu Darshan Shay Monastery Dinner & overnight stay at hotel

Day 8:

Leh – Lamayuru – /Kargil (175 Kms / 7 hrs drive)
Today after an early breakfast, check-out and drive to Kargil. En-route visiting Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Confluence of Zanskar and Indus river and Lamayuru monastery. Time free for leisure and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / Camp.
LAMAYURU GOMPA: the oldest holy site in Ladakh, it was a bon shrine prior to the advent of Buddhism. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika) it is sited on a high promontory overlooking the village and valley. For sheer spectacle value no other Gompa can match Lamayuru.

Day 9:

Kargil – Sonmarg – Srinagar (210 Kms / 7 hrs drive)
Today after an early breakfast, check-out and drive to Srinagar. Past Baltal cross over Zoji-La Pass (11,500 ft) driving through the Drass valley with strikingly different landscape dotted with remote mud huts giving an impression that you really have traveled back in time. Lunch will be at midway (on own). Enroute stops also include Sonamarg and Baltal hamlets, famous for rugged snow peaked meadows. Drop to Houseboat / Hotel in Srinagar. Evening Shikara Ride

Day 10:

Srinagar departure
After Breakfast, check out from the hotel & drive to Srinagar | Airport for your onward flight back home. (If we will get time We can do Short Sightseeing of Srinagar.

PACKAGE INFORMATION:

Sequence of the day-wise tour program may change depending upon traffic schedules / restrictions on some roads and other unforeseen travel-related conditions.
Overnight staying option in the Nubra Valley is mainly in tented accommodation or standard hotels with facilities which may not be of the same standard as the hotels being used in Leh.
Overnight staying options at Pangong Lake / Tsomoriri Lake / Serchu are mainly in tented accommodation with limited facilities, including restricted power supply or none at all, limited hot water provision, no TV etc.) Visitors must also be prepared to pass the night under receding temperature even at the height of summer. The stress of passing the night at high altitude is also to be kept in mind.
